Iwan Effendi is a Yogyakarta artist and co-founder of Papermoon Puppet Theatre. Pulse for Pulse takes its starting point from the exchange between puppeteer, puppet and audience, which the artist describes as a triangle of trust. The exhibition uses that idea to ask what makes an object seem alive and how presence forms when people meet. It opens at Museum MACAN on 14 November 2026 and closes on 4 April 2027.
